Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Seasonal Kitchen+, where this week *deep breath"*, I have made quite possibly one of the nicest pastries of my career.
A crusty puff pastry, with a quick blueberry & cardamom jam and a thick, creamy marzipan pastry cream (you will want to save half of this for next week’s exclusive recipe). Don’t be too overwhelmed by the ingredients list- it is extensive, but very easily sourced. Think of this recipe as your weekend bake-the results are so worth it!
This crispy “breakfast” treat is made with laminated dough, meaning the yeast-leavened dough is covered with butter and repeatedly folded over itself, which is a process fairly similar to one used to make puff pastry. Depending on the many shapes and diverse ingredients, there are just so many various types of Danish pastries!
